At the Cowen & Company investors conference, management at LaCrosse re-affirmed expected net sales of approximately 21% to $42.5 million for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009, which would mark record growth in fourth quarter earnings.

Management noted that the company was carrying momentum from a strong third quarter that saw leaner inventories and favorable weather during the fourth quarter, and said that recent growth has also been supplemented by an added emphasis on an in-house sales team and the brand establishing itself better within its retailers along with seeing renewed growth from its urban lifestyle brands.

The company has also improved operating efficiencies with a it’s newly-opened distribution center in Indianapolis.

Regarding key initiatives, management said LaCrosse would continue to emphazie targeted marketing efforts to key niche markets while expanding and strengthening its distribution channels.

Last week, the company announced that it expected full year sales to increase approximately 9% to $139.2 million.

Work sales are expected to be approximately $25.2 million for the quarter, up approximately 25% from the same period in 2008. Outdoor sales are expected to be approximately $17.3 million for the quarter, up approximately 16% from the same period in 2008. Gross margins are expected to remain relatively flat at about 40%.
