Certain affiliates of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited has closed a transaction to acquire all the outstanding equity interests in Peak Achievement Athletics, Inc. from Sagard Holdings Inc. and other minority shareholders. Fairfax and Sagard acquired Peak in 2017.
On September 30, 2024, Peak announced Fairfax’s plans to acquire the remaining equity of Peak not owned by Fairfax, giving it control of the company. The deal includes Bauer Hockey, Cascade Lacrosse and Maverik Lacrosse. The closing completes the process.

With its roots starting in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1927, Bauer Hockey manufactures hockey equipment and apparel. Cascade Lacrosse and Maverik Lacrosse manufacture lacrosse head protection and equipment.
