Experticity announced it will release on May 27 an unprecedented study that shows retail associates who undergo online training dramatically outsell those that do not. The company, which owns the 3point5.com online training platform, said the study compares the performance of 63,500 retail sales associates in 330 stores across a two-year period.

Marshall Fisher, a professor at the Wharton school of the University of Pennsylvania (and author of The New Science of Retailing), and Experticity, provider of 3Point5 training platform, will release on May 27 the first in-depth study that looks at 63,500 retail sales associates in 330 stores over two years, comparing point-of-sale data to sales associates’ engagement with online training platforms in the categories and brands they sell.

The study shows engaged and knowledgeable sales associates not only sell more, they sell a lot more, according to Experticity. In fact, the study showed that sales associates who completed training sold 123 percent more than those who took none.  This has big implications for helping retailers and the brands they sell drive improved margins and sustainable, differentiated advantage.
