Everlast Worldwide Inc. has extended its exclusive equipment contract with MMA world champion Jon “Bones” Jones. Under the agreement, Jones will continue to train exclusively with Everlast equipment, as well as play a prominent role in global marketing initiatives.

“Jon's dedication and athleticism have transcended the sport and inspired the next generation of fighters,” said Matt Cowan, Executive VP, Sales, Marketing & Product Development for Everlast. “As the sport continues to evolve and expand globally, it is fighters like Jon that inspire the innovation and performance of our products.”

“Everlast has been in my corner since the early stages of my career,” said Jones. “Their loyalty and support have gone a long way in helping me prepare for each fight. Knowing I can trust them to provide the best equipment for each training camp allows me to solely focus my attention on my opponent. I am grateful to have this partnership and look forward to remaining part of the Everlast team for many years to come.”

Jones, who joined the Everlast team in 2010, became the youngest champion after defeating Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in March, 2011 and will look to continue his dominance on September 22 when he defends his title against Vitor Belfort at UFC 152 in Toronto.
