Event Fabrics named Evelyn Yang as the company’s product manager, responsible for enhancing its product strategy, new product introductions, product life cycle, pricing, and customer support. She will also focus on further innovation to maximize the performance and sustainability of its product.
Previously, Yang worked in product roles at Salomon (Amer Sports), H&M, Decathlon, and others. She is based in Event’s Shanghai, China, regional headquarters and reports to company president Chad Kelly in Kansas City.
“Event is well known for creating the first true air-permeable textiles two decades ago,” Yang said. “The industry has struggled to find more sustainable, alternative materials that perform as well as the previous generation of performance fabrics as it moves away from PFAS.
