Etonic Worldwide named industry veteran David Ozio as general manager of the Bowling Division. Ozio comes to Etonic with more than 20 years of experience in the bowling industry. Prior to Etonic, Ozio worked for the Dexter Bowling Division in a number of leadership positions. While with Dexter he is credited with developing its SST Technology, which has catapulted the brand into a leadership position in bowling footwear.  He also has an impressive professional bowling career with 11 Professional Bowling Association national titles, and two PBA Senior titles to his credit. In 1995, he was inducted to the PBA Hall of Fame.

“David is a tremendous asset to Etonic and will be instrumental in shaping our future performance footwear product lines,” said Tom Elwell, Etonic CEO. “He has a keen and unique understanding of the biomechanics of bowling and how they relate to designing and developing footwear aimed to improve a bowler’s performance. David’s extensive knowledge and experience within the industry will be invaluable as we continue to grow the Etonic bowling business.”

Etonic launched the Bowling Division in 2004 and in just three short years have taken over the No. 2 position in market share. In 2006, Etonic was named the official footwear of the PBA and currently have several top PBA bowlers on staff, including Pete Weber and Liz Johnson.

“It is a very exciting time to be part of the Etonic bowling team,” said Ozio. “The brand is young and there is a tremendous opportunity for growth. My focus will be to accelerate the growth of the brand by offering superior technology in our footwear that enhances both a bowler’s performance and confidence.  I also look forward to working closely with our distributors and pro shops by providing them with the tools they need to promote and sell Etonic.”
