Etonic has chosen Ray Cook Brands to manufacture and sell golf shoes, gloves, and other accessories under an exclusive worldwide license under the Etonic name.

Etonic will be sold to an established network of golf specialty, green grass and internet accounts. Etonic will join a stable of established brands which already include Ray Cook, Hot-Z, Solus and Bullet.

“We are excited to add a partner with such an iconic name as Etonic to our manufacturing lineup,” says Thomas Rath, CEO of Ray Cook Brands. “Etonic will be a key addition to our line of golf equipment. It’s exciting to be a part of bringing this leader in footwear back to the golf industry.”

Founded in 1876 and re-branded as Etonic in 1976, the company has an established brand heritage in the golf and running categories. Known by consumers for its “First One There,” motto, Etonic developed the first golf shoe with Gore-Tex  and also introduced Dynamic Reaction Plate sole technology to the running market. Etonic continues to develop new ways to help athletes feel and perform better, most recently launching Stabilizer and PowerFlex technologies.

Bruce Weisfeld, president of Etonic Holdings, LLC, commented, “We are extremely pleased to announce the exclusive Worldwide licensing agreement with Tom Rath and the Ray Cook Brands. We continue our work to restore and reinvigorate Etonic and return the brand to its rightful place among the best athletic companies in the world. We plan on continuing the Etonic tradition of “firsts” by bringing to market many new developments and Ray Cook Brands is the ideal partner for this venture.”

Etonic Holdings, LLC, is a collaboration of the Weisfeld Group, Anthony L&S Footwear and The Castlewood Group.
