Rab and Lowe Alpine hired industry veteran Ross Herr as the VP of U.S. sales, responsible for the brand direction of both companies in the United States. He steps into a new role with Rab and LoweAlpine and parent company, Equip.
Herr joins the companies after spending the past two years as director of sales and marketing at Oberalp Group, owner of Salewa, Dynafit, Pomoca, Wild Country, Evolv, and LaMunt. Before that he worked eight years in various sales and marketing positions at Oberalp from its Colorado office.
In his new role at Rabo and Lowe Alpine, Herr is responsible for “deepening” Equip’s connections to specialty retailers in the United States, developing key account relationships and leading independent sales reps.
“Over the last several seasons, Equip USA has experienced strong growth. In order to continue our momentum, we require an accomplished sales leader with a broad range of hardgoods and softgoods experience, as well as deep product, sales and marketing expertise,” said Adam Chamberlain, U.S. country manager at Rab and Lowe Alpine. “Ross is the perfect fit for our next phase of development in the U.S. We are especially excited for his energy, demonstrated success with big objectives, and we look forward to getting to work.”
Herr will work out of the company’s Louisville, CO office with Chamberlain, with an effective start date of August 28.
“I’m excited to join Equip USA and lead the sales team for Rab and Lowe Alpine. I’m looking forward to working closely with their strong, existing sales reps and retailer partners to better understand their needs, explore opportunities for growth and help us all adapt and evolve through the changing sales cycle in this post-COVID era,” Herr said.
