Epoch Lacrosse said Joe Lombardo has come on board as its national team sales representative. Ryan Hurley has been promoted to partner and director of sales and Brian Hochman to creative and content director. These changes echo Epoch Lacrosse’s accelerated growth and commitment to becoming a market leader in the world of lacrosse.
Lombardo was the store manager for Lacrosse Unlimited at their Ridgewood location and district lead manager for New Jersey for the past seven years. In his new role at Epoch, Lombardo will be responsible for securing, building and maintaining relationships with coaches on the collegiate, high school and club levels and driving business through Epoch retail channel. Lombardo will also collaborate on sales and marketing initiatives and report directly to Ryan Hurley, partner and director of sales.
“Joe is the perfect fit for our company and is the ideal person to help us grow our brand and expand our market presence especially in team sales, which will be the growth engine for Epoch,” said James Miceli, principal at Epoch Lacrosse. “We are looking forward to having Joe join our team and are confident he will have an immediate impact.”
A native of Long Island, Lombardo’s passion for lacrosse came at an early age. In seventh grade, Lombardo played for Plainview Old Bethpage JFK High School’s Varsity team and received All-County team honors his senior year. Lombardo played his collegiate lacrosse at Sacred Heart University starting at LSM his freshman year (’94) and guided the Pioneers to two undefeated seasons and ECAC Championships in ’94 and ’95. Upon graduation, Lombardo shared his knowledge and love of lacrosse coaching in the Plainview PAL for ten years.
“We are growing very fast and players are seeing the authenticity of the Epoch brand. Having key people like Ryan and Brian who have both played and intimately understand our game in leadership positions separates us from tour competitors who only view lacrosse as a balance sheet asset in their multi-sport portfolio” said James Miceli.
