Tanya Bascombe will join the staff of the European Outdoor Group (EOG) Association for Conservation early in 2009 as manager.

Since its launch in 2006 the Association has grown, requiring more time to be devoted to its work and development. The addition of Bascombe will help with this growth and ensure a stronger profile in the conservation of the wild. Bascombe has worked in the outdoor sector for a number of years including working for both The North Face and Lowe Alpine. She is passionate about conservation within the outdoor industry and is looking forward to working with the membership to take the Association to the next level. She will start to work with the Association at one of its busiest periods, coinciding with the period leading up to winter ispo and the assessment of the 2009 EOG Association for Conservation projects.
