Eagles Nest Outfitters (ENO) has appointed James Frinak as its new product developer and designer. Frinak will be responsible for all aspects of product design and development, as well as sourcing and purchasing for the maker of camping hammocks.

After receiving his BA at UNC Chapel Hill and studying Chinese at East China Normal University in Shanghai, Frinak comes to ENO with more than 10 years of outdoors industry experience with Niner Bikes and Mock Orange Bikes, and 3 years of consumer electronics involvement. Most recently, he worked as the product development manager for Targus.

“After a short hiatus from the outdoor industry, I am ecstatic to join the team at ENO and to help to continue to deliver world class hammocking products,” said Frinak. “Compared to consumer electronics, I’m excited to be a part of the homegrown innovation that is the essence of the outdoor industry. Asheville is a great place to work and live. Location combined with an incredible staff make ENO world headquarters a great place to be!”

Moving from Los Angeles, CA to North Carolina for the position, Frinak is jumping on board at just the right time for the company.
“We’re excited to welcome such an experienced and talented individual to our ranks, especially at the rate we are growing,” said Lane Nakaji, ENO’s general manager. “We’re looking forward to the future and the new things James will help us create.”

Aside from designing and developing innovative new outdoors products, Frinak enjoys mountain biking, photography and travel.

Since its founding by brothers Peter and Paul Pinholster in the summer of 1999, ENO has grown into the leading provider of parachute hammocks and outdoor accessories. Its products are now sold in more than 750 specialty outdoor and sporting goods retailers nationwide and online at www.enonation.com. –
