EMU Australia announced the appointment of Jerry Breig as the company’s new national sales and marketing manager and Dawn Caylor as director of design.

“We’re thrilled to have both Jerry and Dawn as part of our team and know that they’ll play an integral part in helping to take this company to the next level,” explains Greg Licht, president of EMU Australia. “Their impressive backgrounds in the action sports footwear industries make Jerry and Dawn a natural fit for EMU and we’re looking forward to tapping into their vast experience and knowledge as we continue to expand.”

Prior to joining EMU, Jerry spent nine of the last ten years leading sales efforts — first domestically and then internationally — for the DVS Shoe Company umbrella, which includes DVS Shoes, Matix Clothing and Lakai Footwear. At DVS, Jerry — who was one of the first employees ever hired by the company — helped establish the roots which helped grow DVS into the internationally recognized name that the company has become. Throughout his tenure at DVS, Jerry donned just about every hat, from packing orders in the early days to later assisting with the integration of foreign sales and distribution offices. Most recently, Jerry managed the international sales efforts for skate shoe company Circa Footwear, where he built on established relationships and grew his territory’s sales by over 50% in just one year. He assisted in implementing new internal structure and installed new company focus, as well.

A Southern California native, Jerry enjoys skating, snowboarding and all kinds of motor sports. He resides in Ladera Ranch, with his wife, Rochell and their three daughters.

Dawn comes to EMU from Nomad Footwear, where she built her experience developing brand identity and knowledge of mass market product, most recently serving as the label’s brand manager and designer. She has also spent the last five years as an independently contracted freelance designer for recognized brands and private label clients including Pac Sun, Wet Seal, Disneyland, Ocean Minded and Charlotte Russe. She also served in a number of capacitates for Girl Star Footwear & Slippurs, where Dawn was responsible for launching and directing the company’s junior-focused footwear offering.
