Emerald Holding, Inc. announced that it had completed the acquisition of all the business assets under the name Advertising Week (AW) from Stillwell Partners.

Emerald hosts over 140 yearly events across multiple industries. In the outdoor lifestyle space, venues include Outdoor Retailer, Surf Expo, The Sports Licensing & Tailgate Show, Impressions, Swim Collective, and Active Collective.

AW is a global event and leadership platform focused on marketing, media, technology, and culture. Founded in 2004 in New York, AW’s franchises include AWNewYork (NYC), AWEurope (London), AWAsia (Tokyo), AWLATAM (Mexico City), and AWAPAC (Sydney). In addition to live and virtual events, the year-round platform includes e-learning.

Following the acquisition, all AW employees will join Emerald, including its Co-Founder and AW Chairman Matt Scheckner, Co-Founder and AW CEO Lance Pillersdorf and AW’s Global President Ruth Mortimer. The latter will continue to lead the business’s day-to-day operations.
