Edwin Watts Golf Shops, LLC announced the acquisition of two new stores in the Midwest, including one store in Kansas City, MO, and one store in Overland Park, KS, which marks the first Edwin Watts Golf Shop to open in the state.
The acquisitions support the Company's strategic growth strategy as each store location will be converted into a full-service Edwin Watts Golf Shop.
The new 16,130 sq. ft. Edwin Watts Golf Shop in Kansas City, located at 8321 NW Roanridge Road, was previously a Golf Stop location. This store expands the Company's retail presence in Missouri, complementing the existing Edwin Watts Golf Shop location in St. Louis.
In turn, the new 15,000 sq. ft. Edwin Watts Golf Shop in Overland Park, Kansas, located at 6824 W. 119th St., which was also a Golf Stop store, now establishes Edwin Watts Golf's footprint in Kansas. Each respective shop will be equipped with the latest technology, including a launch monitor & club repair facility, and will feature select product assortments in golf equipment & apparel, electronics and related golf accessories from top brands.

Both stores, which opened to the public on October 31, 2011, will celebrate their grand openings November 18- 20. The grand opening festivities will include spectacular deals on a wide selection of products from the game's leading brands, while customers will have the chance to win an assortment of exciting prizes throughout the weekend.
The new locations add to Edwin Watts Golf Shops' stable of more than 90 domestic retail locations.
