Eddie Bauer Holdings, Inc. appointed Brent Kugman, president of Kugman Partners, Inc. to serve as chief restructuring officer and corporate secretary of the company.
In this role, Kugman will provide a range of services relating to management of the company, primarily coordination of all activities necessary for the expeditious and efficient resolution of the Debtors' bankruptcy cases. Kugman's appointment was approved by the Honorable Mary F. Walrath in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, who is presiding over the Company's proceedings, on August 18, 2009.
Eddie Bauer Holdings Inc. is a shell holding company that remains after private equity firm Golden Gate Capital purchased their assets and operations for $286 million earlier this month. The company filed for bankruptcy protection in June. The assets and operations owned by Golden Gate are now called Eddie Bauer LLC.
