Neil Fiske, who took the helm at Eddie Bauer in 2007 and tied its turn around to a return to its roots in technical mountaineering, will leave the company, according to an article in the Seattle Times.

The newspaper reported that the company confirmed the news in a statement, but did not elaborate why Fiske was leaving. Fiske will leave his post March 2, when the company’s executive chairman David Chamberlain will take over as interim CEO until a replacement is named, the newspaper reported. Fiske will stay on in a consulting role to ensure a smooth transition.
