Stromgren Athletics has revealed the departure of President and CEO, Ed Tobergte. In leaving Stromgren Athletics, Tobergte will primarily concentrate on developing Gear 2000, as well as other opportunities in the fast changing football protective equipment environment.
In his stead, Mort Finkelstein assumes the position of President and CEO of Stromgren, effective immediately. Finkelstein, with many years of experience in the retail and team sports business as a dealer, commented. “Athletic compression apparel and sports medicine categories are enjoying tremendous growth. I am looking forward to continuing the success Stromgren Athletics has experienced and investing in new opportunities.”
Steve Arensdorf remains Chief Operations Officer. Arensdorf, a 30 year veteran of Stromgren, will continue to direct a national and international sales team with his eye on growth in the fast moving compression market. Arensdorf is quoted, “Stromgren Athletics is a growing company with lots of ideas for expansion. Stromgren dealers will continue to experience our outstanding service and have an opportunity to share in our new product offerings.”
