Ecco USA’s President and CEO Tom Nelson will retire, effective June 1.
Current COO Dave Quel will assume the role of acting president.
Quel
was promoted to become the footwear company’s first COO in August 2009.
Nelson will continue to serve on the USA and Canada Ecco board of directors and act as an adviser to both segments.
“I will miss the close interaction with my Ecco family across the globe. However, I look forward to contributing in my consultancy role as a member of the board of directors for Ecco USA and Ecco Canada,” Nelson said in a statement.
