ECCO is launching a widespread promotional campaign that includes its first-ever U.S. network television commercials highlighting the companys status as the “Official Footwear Supplier” of the 2007 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am golf tournament.
In cooperation with retailers Nordstrom, Golf Galaxy and Golfsmith, as well as ECCO stores nationwide, the company is also sponsoring contests coinciding with the tournament. These will be promoted via in-store displays, e-mail campaigns, national print advertising and 30-second commercials on CBS and The Golf Channel accentuating the comfort, style and performance of the brands mens and womens golf shoes.
“This is an extremely exciting opportunity for ECCO,” says Tom Nelson, President, ECCO USA. “Coinciding with our on-going relationship with this superb tournament, were reaching out to the millions of golfers and non-golfers alike who tune in to watch their favorite celebrities compete alongside PGA Tour stars.”
As part of its sponsorship agreement with the Pebble Beach Company, ECCO will outfit the many international entertainment, sports and business celebrity participants at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in classic.
Likely celebrity participants in the event include Justin Timberlake, Bill Murray, Tom Brady, Mark Wahlberg, Samuel L. Jackson, Donald Trump, George Lopez, Ray Romano, Dennis Quaid, Kenny G., Andy Garcia and Carson Daly. They will be paired with a full field of PGA Tour stars, such as ECCO staff players Fred Couples and Aaron Baddeley.
