Eastland Shoe Corp., a Maine-based company producing hand-crafted footwear since 1955, appointed Danny Livingston as its new vice president of sales.

Livingston will lead the recruitment, training and management of the Eastland sales team. He will oversee all sales operations and new business opportunities in North America, as well as supporting Eastland’s global account outreach initiatives.

A veteran of the retail and wholesale footwear business with more than 35 years of experience, Livingston brings a broad range of sales experience to Eastland. He was a top performer in each of his roles at Cable & Co., Bacco Bucci, Bruno Magli, and Florsheim. For the last several years, he has served as the general merchandise manager for the Florsheim by Duckie Brown collaboration which won Footwear News Launch of the Year in 2009 and The New York Times Fashion Idea of the Year in 2009. He also was named “Salesman of the Year” for 6 of the past 10 years at Florsheim, an award recognizing the most successful, over-achieving sales professionals company-wide.
