Designer Brands, Inc. confirmed that Jim Weinberg, EVP and chief merchandising officer at DSW, is stepping down.
In a statement to SGB Media, Designer Brands said, “We recently announced internally that Jim Weinberg will be stepping down as chief merchandising officer of DBI. Our organization is grateful for Jim’s contributions to our retail and brands businesses.”
Weinberg has been chief merchandising officer since February 2019. He joined Designer Brands in 2015 as SVP/GMM of DSW’s Affiliated Business Group, which operates leased departments for other retailers.
Weinberg was SVP/GMM of Women’s from April 2017 until January 2019. Previously, he worked for Montreal-based online discounters Beyond the Rack and Burlington Coat Factory.
