Dragon has added JC Clenet as the company's new international marketing manager. Starting July 2nd, JC will manage a newly developed position at Dragon designed to drive marketing strategies and initiatives for all markets outside the United States. With 15 years of experience in the surf business, his expertise and knowledge will reinforce Dragon’s brand identity in the action sports market.

“We are very excited to have JC come on board to help with our over all global plan,” stated Scott Sorensen, Dragon’s Director of Marketing and Brand Manager.  “He has a lot of insight and experience that will definitely help Dragon grow our business”.
 
JC comes to Dragon after 5 years managing the marketing in Europe, Middle East and Africa for Reef. He was responsible for the effective brand positioning communications, brand-marketing strategies and to develop co-ventures with other companies. He was also in charge of the brand strategy to ensure the apparel and footwear lines were customized with the European trends. He was directly implicated by the implantation of Reef EMEA subsidiary in Europe.
 
JC was also an integral part in the development of major surf events such as; Biarritz Surf Trophee or launching the Tahiti Pro [Teahupoo] in 1997. As early as 1995, JC was a leader in introducing artists and musicians to associate art and the actions sports. His visionary sense of marketing and understanding of our industry, culture and consumer will be a great asset as Dragon continues to grow globally.
