Event operations organization DMSE Sports hired Meryl Leventon as a director of events, leading event planning and managing its team of senior event managers.

Leventon comes to the role from Ironman and the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series, where she was the race director for the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Marathon and Half Marathon. Throughout the year, she also played various operational roles for the brand, including Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas. Her other event production organization and event experience include the Life Time Miami Marathon, Ironman and 70.3 World Championships, Singapore Marathon, and events across China and South America.
Leventon serves as an Advisory Board Member for Sports San Diego, San Diego’s sports commission and a Board Member for the North Park Business & Neighborhood Foundation and North Park Community Association, both local 501c3s.
