Dillard’s, Inc. announced today that merchandise sales for the four weeks ended Oct. 30, 2010 were $356.1 million compared to sales for the four weeks ended Oct. 31, 2009 of $361.7 million. Total sales declined 2%. Sales in comparable stores declined 1% for the four weeks ended Oct. 30, 2010.

Sales for the 13 weeks ended Oct. 30, 2010 were $1.32 billion compared to sales for the 13 weeks ended Oct. 31, 2009 of $1.31 billion. Total sales were unchanged on a percentage basis. Sales in comparable stores increased 1% for the 13-week period.

Sales for the 39 weeks ended Oct. 30, 2010 were $4.11 billion compared to sales for the 39 weeks ended October 31, 2009 of $4.10 billion. Total sales were unchanged on a percentage basis. Sales in comparable stores increased 1% for the 39-week period.

During the four weeks ended October 30, 2010, sales were slightly above the average total company trend in the Eastern region and slightly below trend in the Central and Western regions. Sales of juniors’ and children’s apparel were significantly above trend during the four-week period while sales in the home and furniture category were significantly below trend.
