The effort by Dick's Sporting Goods to expand its presence in the Northwest is moving rather rapidly, according to a number of published reports and former Joes Sports & Outdoors management attending the OR Summer Market. To date, DKS had only been tied to one former Joes Sports & Outdoors location Hillsboro, OR. But conversations with people close to the situation are now pointing to a total of six locations that Dicks Sporting Goods has picked up since Joes was liquidated earlier this summer.
The additional locations, all in Oregon, reportedly include former Joes leases in Gresham, Tualatin, Salem, Eugene and Bend. All six are expected to open this fall. DKS already has one location in Tigard, OR.
