Dick’s Sporting Goods, the largest U.S. based full-line sporting goods retailer, invites the community of Holly Springs, NC to their three-day grand opening weekend. The store will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, March 5 at 4:30 pm at the retailer’s new Holly Springs Towne Center location, 168 Grand Hill Place, and soft open on Wednesday, March 6. The grand opening celebration will begin on Friday, March 8 and continue through Sunday, March 10.  Special extended store hours will be in effect for Friday (8:00 am to 10:00 pm), Saturday (8:00 am to 10:00 pm) and Sunday (9:00 am to 8:00 pm).

The Holly Springs location will be the retailer’s 28th store in the
state of North Carolina and its 519th nationwide. The new store will
feature over 40 convenient in-store services performed by Dick’s
certified PROS in Golf, Bike, Hunting, Fishing, Team Sports and more.

Dick’s Sporting Goods has a variety of special appearances and giveaways scheduled to celebrate the grand opening festivities. NC State mascot Mr. Wuf will be appearing in store on Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mark Davis, host of Outdoor Channel’s Big Water Adventures, will be in store Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.* (appearance provided by Buck Knives). Finally, UNC mascot Rameses will be meeting and greeting customers from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The first 100 adults in line on Friday and Saturday will receive a Mystery Gift Card ranging in value from $5 to $500, with one person winning the $500 card each day. Also on Saturday, the first 100 people in line will get a free The North Face FLASHDRY® T-shirt. The first 100 adults in line on Sunday will receive a Scratch & Win card with varying prizes, including one 2013 DICK’s MVP Discount Card winner.
