The Pittsburgh Business Times is reporting that Dicks Sporting Goods is testing a new golf specialty store format near its headquarters in Pittsburgh, Penn. The Times cited sources from the planning office in suburban Robinson Township where Dicks had tested its first two-story format a few years ago. Robinson Town Centre is now also home to a Golf Galaxy superstore that opened less than a month ago.
SEW has learned through other market sources that DKS may be planning a second test location in the Washington, DC area.
