Dick’s Sporting Goods plans to open its first House of Sport store in Glendale, CA, with a scheduled opening on October 17.
DKS purchased the site, near Loop 101 and Maryland Avenue, on the west side of the freeway, from BYPG Holdings in January 2024 for $10.66 million, according to Maricopa County records.
The store will reportedly feature a rock wall, golf hitting bays and cages for practicing baseball, softball and other sports, as well as an outdoor field and track.
Dick’s closed 2024 with 19 House of Sport stores, adding seven during the year. The company plans to open 16 new House of Sports stores in 2025 with a goal of between 75 and 100 locations nationwide by the end of 2027.
