Deuter USA has entered into partnership with Hike It Baby, a social networking platform dedicated to developing communities that get families outside with children from birth to school aged.
Established in the summer of 2013 when founder, Shanti Hodges, had her son, Hike it Baby has quickly grown from a single chapter in Portland, Oregon to a nationwide network of 200 chapters in 47 states and more abroad. With over 3,000 free hikes in the calendar every month, Hike it Baby has become one of the most accessible outdoors groups for families.
“When we learned how Hike It Baby was positively impacting the lives of children and families we knew we wanted to be a part of it,” explains Becky Marcelliano, marketing manager at Deuter USA. “As a company encouraging parents to get outside and out on the trails with their kids, we thought it a natural fit to support an organization doing the same at the grassroots level.”
Deuter’s line of family products start with the Kid Comfort series. The innovative line of child carriers features three models, each uniquely created with a range of features for the ultimate in comfort for passenger and parent alike. Deuter Kid Comfort carriers offer the utmost in safety and are certified by the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association.
“Hike it Baby started as a simple way for me to get out and enjoy the outdoors with like-minded new parents,” explains Hodges.”With the overwhelming support of parents all over the country and now brands like Deuter, Hike It Baby is in a position to help encourage more families than ever to get on the trails in a safe and supported way.”
