USA Triathlon (USAT) announced a partnership with Descente, based in Japan, to become USAT’s Official Outerwear Supplier for the next four years.
Descente will provide training and outerwear for members of the US National Team, Toyota US Paratriathlon National Team and Project Podium men’s elite development squad, as well as outfitting the USA Triathlon national office staff.
“USA Triathlon’s National Team athletes train and race in all conditions as they chase excellence on the world stage,” said Chuck Menke, chief marketing officer at USA Triathlon. “Our partnership with Descente will allow us to outfit our nation’s best in durable and functional high-performance outerwear, so they can focus on reaching their potential.”

Descente will also create a line of uniquely designed USA Triathlon-inspired outerwear and other apparel to be sold in Asia through an international licensing agreement.
Descente also sponsors Jesse Thomas, US professional triathlete and six-time Wildflower Triathlon champion; Nicola Spirig, 2012 Olympic gold medallist and 2016 Olympic silver medalist from Switzerland; the Swiss Triathlon National Team; and the British Triathlon Federation, including its elite and age-group national teams.
