The Timberland Company announced the promotions of Keith Denny, Rob Koenen and Jay Steere to vice president positions.
Keith Denny has been promoted to vice president, global product management for Timberlands boot business. Denny joined Timberland in 2003 as the senior category director for the kids business, and was most recently the global category director for Timberlands kids and youth footwear business. His experience includes more than 14 years with Nike.
Rob Koenen has been named vice president, global product management for Timberlands mens and kids suburban business. In 2001, Koenen joined Timberland as the senior category director for the mens casual business and, most recently, assumed responsibility for the design and product management team for Timberlands kids suburban business. His experience includes leadership positions with Benetton SportsSystem and Rollerblade.
Jay Steere has been promoted to vice president, global product management for Timberlands outdoor performance business. Steere has been with Timberland for nearly 20 years, serving in a variety of marketing, sales, brand management and product management functions before becoming director of outdoor performance in 2003.
Concurrently, Timberland announced the creation of all outdoor performance business as a distinct segment within the company.
“By bringing together product management, sales, and marketing functions for Timberlands outdoor performance business, we create efficiencies, shared accountabilities and a stronger capability for our outdoor performance line to authenticate and contemporize the Timberland® brand,” explained Gary Smith, senior vice president and Ggneral manager of outdoor performance.
In his new position, Steere reports to Smith. Both Denny and Koenen report to Marc Schneider, senior vice president of global product management.
