Decathlon opened its first shop dedicated entirely to running Bordeaux, a city in southwestern France.
The store, called Decathlon Running, measures approximately 1,700 square feet and sells Decathlon’s private-label brands, including Kiprun and Kalenji, as well as mainstream running brands Hoka, Brooks, Asics, Saucony, Mizuno, and Salomon.
The store also sells running apparel and offers gait analysis to help customers find a custom fit.
Decathlon told local website Le Bonbon, “Bordeaux is an excellent site to test this format: the popularity of running has exploded in the region since the pandemic.”
The store location at 49 rue Sainte-Catherine is next door to the Citadium department store on Promenade Sainte-Catherine.
