Last week, Decathlon launched a new shopping app in the U.S. for Apple Vision Pro. The company said the next-gen shopping and experiential tool enables consumers to discover its latest outdoor and cycling products and shop for their favorite sporting goods.
Apple Vision Pro is a mixed-reality headset developed by Apple, Inc. First announced on June 5, 2023, at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, pre-orders began on January 19, 2024, and the product launched on February 2, 2024, in the U.S. A worldwide launch has not been announced.
The new Decathlon app is said to offer its customers “a seamless and immersive shopping adventure and will help users view, choose and buy new Decathlon products and even discover the stories behind their favorite gear.” Using new tools like the Apple Vision Pro offers Decathlon shoppers a new way to engage with the brand at home and in-store.
“We are thrilled to be proposing such a unique and immersive experience to our customers on the Apple Vision Pro,” said Barbara Martin Coppola, CEO of Decathlon. “We’re going one step further in our commitment to innovating the world of modern sport. Customers can step inside our tents or check out our new bikes in 3D from the comfort of their own home—a revolution in the shopping experience. What comes next is bound to be exceptional as we continue to accompany people in their sporting experiences in new and exciting ways.”
