Lifeboat Events said that more than 600 buyers attended Dealer Camp at Utah's Deer Valley resort to visit with top independent brands, test ride next year’s gear and take in some very exciting cyclo-cross racing.

“We set out with a mission of helping brands, some of which loose their voice in the shadow of the big players, to have a successful summer showing and work hard to help retailers keep the “I” in IBD.  While we are always striving to improve, we’re proud of what we delivered, and more importantly, so are the brands,” commented Lance Camisasca, president of Lifeboat Events, producer of DealerCamp.

The industry’s top three companies – Giant, Specialized and Trek – have concluded their summer camps as well, and DealerCamp measures among the best.  DealerCamp’s 100 plus brands and six hundred twenty-five buyers stand shoulder to shoulder with the big boy’s successes while providing superlative diversity and entertainment.

“DealerCamp was a great success for Raleigh.  Deer Valley is always an awesome venue to engage with our dealers and get some fantastic rides.  The addition of the cross race this year really added to the event – and we were excited that we could be a partner in bringing that event to life.  We are looking forward joining the entire Lifeboat team for DealerCamp 2013!” exclaimed Chris Speyer, vice president at Raleigh America.

“As a smaller boutique manufacture, DealerCamp has been very successful for us to engage top retailers. We have used the event both this year and last to launch new products. The quality of the dealers that show up have a focus on the product and the brands. They’re here doing business and riding in this relaxed, beautiful location” offered Jeff Steiber, Founder, designer and president of Intense Cycles.

DealerCamp also lead the way in innovation with the introduction of the iLeads program, a “cloud” based lead retrieval system provided to the exhibitors free of charge. Retailers could check in with exhibitors and have their visit logged, entering them into a prize contest and exhibitors can effortlessly collect critical follow-up data for post event contact.

“DealerCamp is one of my favorite parts of our buying calendar. The laid-back atmosphere and opportunity to explore new products helps us to discover new ideas and companies that might normally escape our attention. Compared to Las Vegas or the several one brand dealer shows we attend, I'm always in a much better mood at DealerCamp” said Brendan Poh Owner at Cycle Craft Bicycle Stores.

Lifeboat Events hosts trend-setting events for the bicycle industry. Industry veteran Lance Camisasca leads it, with his partners, Chad Battistone, and Christopher Zigmont.
