Darn Tough Vermont, a manufacturer of outdoor and lifestyle socks, has appointed Brooke Kaplan as director of marketing.

Kaplan began her career at Procter & Gamble and joins the Darn Tough team with 16 years’ experience working with New England-based brands such as New Balance and Life is Good. Most recently at Keurig Green Mountain, Kaplan’s extensive brand management, as well as keen eye to strategy, is the perfect addition to the Darn Tough team at a time of monumental growth.

Having just announced the addition of 46 new state-of-the-art knitting machines, Kaplan’s direction, vision and leadership will support the Darn Tough Vermont brand as it ramps up production in 2019 and beyond.

“As the company embraces the opportunity to grow and service more consumers and retailers, we will always do so the smart and Darn Tough way–meaning we will not sacrifice quality and performance for speed,” said Ric Cabot, Darn Tough president and CEO. “The same goes with adding new personnel to our team. With tremendous responsibility, we know that Brooke embodies the creative vision Darn Tough Vermont craves and has the ability to keep the brand pushing the limits. We look forward to adding her energy, enthusiasm and expertise to the Darn Tough family.”

As director of marketing, Kaplan will be serving as a brand visionary for Darn Tough and assuming leadership through all outlets of strategy and marketing. “This position is new to the brand, and I couldn’t be more excited to help bring the brand to its full potential,” Kaplan said. “We’ve got an outstanding team.”
