Darby Communications’ Stand Up Initiative is now accepting applications for its 2018 program. The initiative, launched in November 2016, provides pro-bono PR-related services to awarded environmental non-profits with projects focusing on environmental and sustainable advocacy, or the preservation and protection of public lands.
In its inaugural year, Darby Communications selected noteworthy organizations to offer its services to including the American Alpine Club, Grand Staircase Escalante Partners, Bee City USA and The Collider. The agency will continue to elevate new non-profit partners’ impactful work in 2018 through their PR and digital marketing expertise.
“We’re so grateful for the support we received through Darby Communications’ Stand Up Initiative,” stated American Alpine Club’s Policy and Advocacy Director, Maria Povec. “Darby’s dedicated and passionate staff helped us craft a brilliant PR plan for our big event in D.C., Climb the Hill.”
Applications are open for non-profits whose projects exhibit a strong environmental benefit including clean air and water, climate change, deforestation mitigation and upholding the boundaries of public lands. Selected recipients will receive the support of a team of seasoned PR professionals to assist with media outreach, press release and promotional writing, event planning, social media assessment and ad campaign development.
“Because of the hard work of environmental non-profits, we can enjoy wild spaces like the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, a national gem we assisted this summer through our alliance with the Grand Staircase Escalante Partners,” recalled Coral Darby, founder of Darby Communications. “We are excited to see what applications we receive this year and to continue our important work with these critical organizations.”
