Daniel Defense (DD) has appointed David Kulivan as executive director of The Double D Foundation, the company’s philanthropic arm, focused on protecting the Second Amendment by growing the number of Americans involved in the shooting sports.

“Kulivan brings more than two decades of experience at the highest levels of philanthropy and nonprofit leadership,” the company stated in a media release. “His career includes senior roles at the National Rifle Association, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation and as the vice president of a nationally significant museum initiative.”

DD said Kulivan also served as a strategic consultant to prominent philanthropic organizations in the U.S.

The company said the Double D Foundation has “made a powerful impact in Georgia and South Carolina by funding youth shooting sports teams, equipment and training, helping develop a culture of skill, responsibility and patriotism.”

Under Kulivan’s leadership, the company believes the DD Foundation will broaden its reach nationally, forming new partnerships and expanding its investment in the next generation of shooters.

“It’s an honor to join The Double D Foundation and help carry forward its mission of protecting freedom and expanding opportunities in shooting sports. I look forward to working with our partners to grow this vital community and empower the next generation of responsible shooters,” said Kulivan.

“A lifelong supporter of the Second Amendment, Kulivan’s professional and personal commitment to firearms safety, education and responsible ownership uniquely positions him to lead the Foundation’s next phase of growth,” the company added.

“We are thrilled to welcome David Kulivan to The Double D Foundation,” said the Foundation’s Founder, Cindy Daniel. “David’s deep experience in nonprofit leadership and his unwavering commitment to our Second Amendment values make him the ideal person to lead our mission forward. With his guidance, we will continue to grow the shooting sports community and invest in the next generation of responsible gun owners and competitors across the country.”
