Dainese Group, the owner of the Dainese, AGV and TCX motorcycle apparel, helmet, and boot brands and licensee for Momo Design, appointed Angel Sánchez as CEO, effective November 2. 

Cristiano Silei, CEO of Dainese since 2015, will become non-executive chairman of the company.

Sánchez reportedly brings “deep knowledge and experience with a track record of leading consumer companies through periods of accelerated growth.” Before joining Dainese, Sánchez was CEO of Conserve Italia, one of the largest food and beverage cooperatives in Europe, which includes brands the Cirio, Yoga and Valfrutta brands, where the businesses “doubled EBITDA” during his tenure as CEO. He has was also CEO of ABM Italia, a European manufacturer of cabinets, shelving and other storage products, until the company was sold to Keter. At Keter, Sánchez was chief marketing officer before being promoted to deputy CEO and head of Europe.

Dainese Group, supported by majority shareholder Carlyle, has reached top-line revenues of approximately €300 million in 2022. The Group reported it is investing to support its expansion strategy and, in 2022, established a direct presence in China and opened a new production facility in Vietnam. 

As CEO, Sánchez will lead the company into its next growth stage, including continuing its international expansion, developing its multi-channel proposition and shifting toward an increasingly DTC distribution model.
