Cycling Sports Group (CSG), which owns the Cannondale and Sugoi cycling brands, is expanding its partnership with component maker SRAM. The extended relationship and collaboration will result in increased product integration with Cannondale, GT, Schwinn, and Mongoose, next level racing events and integrated demos across the globe. SRAM will also be incorporated into the 2011 Liquigas-Cannondale team bikes, helping to drive the riders through their race season…

“We have long been supporters of SRAM and many of their products have been used to power our bikes for years,” said Jeff McGuane, president, Cycling Sports Group North America, which is a division of Dorel Industries’ Recreational/Leisure segment. “SRAM innovations and advocacy have helped improve the cycling industry for more than two decades and we are honored to partner with them. We are both passionate about fostering cycling and are confident that together, we can work to grow the sport in a positive direction.”

CSG and SRAM will combine all aspects of the various component products from start to finish and will include sourcing and product development along with brand and team marketing.

“We are thrilled to work with Cycling Sports Group because they share our passion for cycling and the sport,” said David Zimberoff, SRAM’s global marketing director. “All of our components, from Red to Rival, are precise, durable, ergonomic, aerodynamic and unmatched. The CSG brands share this same commitment to excellence and innovation, which will make for an excellent partnership.”

Coming from humble beginnings, both CSG and SRAM are now propelling the cycling industry forward with products ridden by cyclists across the world, from urban commuters to world class athletes, such as Marco Fontana, Mick Hannah, Tim Johnson and the Liquigas-Cannondale Pro Cycling Team.
