Currie Technologies appointed David Cabanban as the new Midwest territory manager for the IZIP Road Show. Cabanban has previously managed the Sanyo Eneloop E-bike program in the United States and has held various positions in the bicycle industry; having worked in Chicago area bike shops, as an independent sales representative, and has ridden bicycles all of his life.

David brings a wealth of experience, adding value in bikes shops, and with E-bikes and we are excited to have him on the team, said Rob Kaplan, Curries VP of Sales.

Currie Technologies currently has five territory managers located throughout the country, with a fully equipped Nissan NV high-top van, packed with all the elements for rolling demonstrations, including test ride bikes, flags, and a pop-up tent. Our TMs are ready to support our dealers with regional events that will raise awareness and allow consumer and retailer test drives of our electric bikes. They are the front lines educating our dealers in servicing, training and expanding our customer base, stated Larry Pizzi, President of Currie Technologies.

IZIP electric bikes are a blast to ride, said Pizzi, and we want to change the misconception of many that bike riding is an extreme sport. By getting folks to experience all of the pleasure of cycling, with none of the pain, a new customer base is rapidly developing, one which views bikes as healthy fun and recreation, and not necessarily as hardcore fitness or sport.

Our IZIP Road Show program is designed to assist dealers in successfully entering the exciting E-Bike market, and help to capitalize on this rapidly emerging category, said Kaplan, The ability of TMs to explain and demystify the E-Bike category, and show them how to sell E-bikes to these new consumers, positions them as value-added partners who positively impact our dealers success.
