Currie Technologies, a division of Accell North America and maker of IZIP and eFlow electric bikes, has appointed Mark Rushmann as its midwest territory manager.

“E-bike growth, as a category, is surging as never before,” says Kaplan. “We are very pleased to find someone with Mark's background and enthusiasm to support sales in the Midwest.”

Rushmann replaces David Cabanban, who recently began working with Bosch e-Bike Systems, a supplier partner to Currie Tech.

“Not only does Mark understand the challenges faced by IBDs, he's a talented sales person, experienced mechanic and lifelong cyclists who believes in the benefits of e-bikes,” states Kaplan.

Rushmann, who resides in Madison, WI, most recently worked as store manager for the highly successful retail chain Budget Bicycle Center. In this role, he was responsible for all operations at the NBDA “America's Best Bike Shops” designated store, including training and supervision of sales staff, tracking sales goals, and purchasing inventory. He has been a small business owner as well.

“I'm enthusiastic about cycling, especially when it involves working with bicycles as a way to better our environment and help people live healthier lives,” explains Rushmann. “I'm looking forward to representing IZIP and eFlow and helping retailers move the needle higher with their e-bike business.”

Currie Tech's midwest sales territory encompasses Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Rushmann has already started reaching out to retailers in each of these states to schedule his first visits.
