Crocs, Inc. has acquired hockey company Fury, Inc. The acquisition took place in October of 2006, and Fury is now operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of Crocs. Crocs will use Fury to introduce Crocs' proprietary Croslite material to the hockey and lacrosse markets.

Fury was founded in 2002 by former NHL star Keith Primeau and two partners.

“We are very pleased to have Fury as part of the Crocs family and look forward to the launch of its new line of products. Fury is a well-respected company and we are excited by the synergies created by the integration of our industry-leading Croslite material into their superior line of sports equipment and apparel,” said Ron Snyder, CEO of Crocs. “Croslite is an extremely versatile material and we are continuing to find new markets for this product, including the sporting industry. We believe Croslite will bring a new level of quality, protection, and support to athletic equipment and this technology will allow athletes to achieve a new level of performance with our products.”
