CrankTank, a consulting agency founded by Scott Montgomery, has announced the addition of Chad Battistone to the Impact Sun Valley Media Summit sales team.
Battistone will take on sponsorship sales manager duties for the event and report to CrankTank Vice President Adrian Montgomery. Impact Sun Valley is CrankTank’s inaugural local event offering, but its core business revolves around digital marketing, e-commerce and CEO consulting. Recruiting Battistone will bolster the Impact team, allowing the agency to properly service existing business.
“As CrankTank grows, it’s important for us to continue giving our existing clients the high-level service they’ve become accustomed to,” said Montgomery, who is also president of Reynolds Cycling and formerly led Nutcase Helmets and Club Ride Apparel. “Chad’s many years of event sales experience bumps up our bandwidth on Impact. He’ll help us shore up the few remaining event sponsorship positions, so we can also maintain focus on our other core objectives.”
“When Scott and Adrian approached me to work on the Impact event in Sun Valley, it didn’t take much thought to say ‘let’s do this,'” added Battistone. “I’m stoked to be part of the crew building a new media event for the bicycle industry. Events are in my blood and the bike biz is my family, so this is more like going home than starting a new journey.”
The hire marks increasing capacity and specialization within CrankTank and the Impact event team. Sponsorship sales will be Battistone’s objective, while Lars-Erik Johnson will continue his duties managing event planning, operations and media communication.
