Countrywide Sports appointed Chris Means as president, responsible for developing and growing the company’s wholesale division, reporting to company owner and CEO David Gregory.

Means has 37 years of experience in the shooting sports industry with expertise in purchasing, sales management and P&L responsibility. Most recently, he was president of Tactical Gear Distributors and previously held senior roles at The Mako Group and Big Rock Sports. Means was also chairman of NASGW, the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers for the 2022 and 2023 terms.

Countrywide said his experience in distribution ranges from small family-owned businesses to equity-owned and publicly traded companies. 

An NRA life member with roots in outdoor retail, Means is reported to understand the needs of the brick-and-mortar retailer.
