Cotopaxi announced that it opened a pop-up shop in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C., at 1057 Wisconsin Avenue, representing its second pop-up and third on the East Coast.

Cotopaxi said the pop-up “supports its efforts to establish strong ties to collegiate communities such as CU Boulder, the University of Washington, and Boston through existing retail stores and targeted campus initiatives.”

“Cotopaxi has always been a community-first brand, from our early days hosting Questivals to now building purpose-driven retail spaces that bring people together. Our new Georgetown pop-up is a natural evolution of that vision,” said Lindsay Shumlas, CEO of Cotopaxi. “Being near a vibrant campus and in the heart of D.C. allows us to engage directly with students and young changemakers who care deeply about impact, adventure and good design.”

Cotopaxi’s first pop-up opened in May inside Snow Peak in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood. Its two other East Coast shops are on Newbury Street in Boston and an outlet store in North Conway, NH.

Cotopaxi reports it operates 24 stores, including the two pop-up locations and four stores in Japan.
