Converse appears to have a great deal of faith in its young basketball endorser, last week announcing a deal that will see the Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade in Converse product for at least seven years. Terms of the deal were not announced, but published reports had the previous D-Wade deal valued at $400,000 a year.

The “strategic partnership” calls for the creation of footwear, apparel, and equipment under the Converse brand. The first WADE signature shoe will hit retail on November 3, coinciding with the Heat’s home opener with the Pacers.
