Confluence Outdoor said Canadian Field Sales Director Kevin Henderson has assumed leadership for its sales operations in the western U.S. as part of a plan to accelerate growth of its independent specialty business.

To support Henderson, Confluence Outdoor promoted Paul Brittain to regional sales manager for Eastern Canada, including Ontario, Quebec, and Maritime provinces. He will report to Henderson.

Henderson will lead the sales organization covering the Western Great Lakes, Plains States, Northwest, and West Coast regions. He will continue to report to Shelly Moore, VP of sales for North America. Brad Taylor will continue in his role as director of field sales for the Eastern Great Lakes, Rockies, Gulf, and Eastern States regions.

“Kevin has been the director of field sales for Canada since 2004. Under his helm, we have significantly grown our Canadian specialty business,” said Moore. “With a more regionalized focus for each of our sales leaders, we anticipate strong continued growth with our independent specialty retailers.”

Henderson resides in Clearwater, British Columbia where he lives and breathes all things paddlesports. He joined Confluence Outdoor in April 2000 as a western Canadian sales rep. He previously worked as a sales associate for Western Canoe and Kayaking in Abbotsford, British Columbia.

Brittain has been the Ontario sales rep for Confluence since 2005. Prior to that he was an independent eastern Canadian sales rep for Dagger, Perception, Adventure Technology, Harmony, Bell Canoe Works, and Turtle Paddle Works. Brittain is a former whitewater kayak instructor who enjoys playboating, kayak fishing, canoe tripping, and SUP surfing.

“I am excited to lead the company’s Canadian and western U.S. sales team and continue to help retailers grow their kayak, SUP, and accessories business,” said Henderson. “As a former member of the Canadian Whitewater Freestyle Team and an avid fisherman, my watersports knowledge runs deep, from whitewater to fishing.”

Confluence Outdoor is based in Greenville, SC, and owns the eight watersports brands, Wilderness Systems, Perception, Dagger, Mad River Canoe, Adventure Technology paddles, Harmony accessories, and Boardworks Surf.
