In a step to bolster its production, quality, and customer service departments, Confluence Watersports hired a new Technical Director Bill Page, Plant Manager Keith Butdorf, and the restructuring and expansion of its customer service department.

“The hiring of Bill and Keith and the restructuring of our customer service department are just the beginning of several announcements that I hope to make over the next few months as we work to improve our business,” said Tom Nathanson, Confluence Watersports acting CEO.

Since joining the company at the end of June, Nathanson has expanded the customer service department by 40 percent and restructured the department to better handle consumer and retail partner requests. The department will continue to report to the Director of Customer Service and Logistics Bob Herring, but will now fall under the control of Marketing and Sales and overseen by Kelley Woolsey, EVP of Marketing and Sales.

The customer service department had previously been under the responsibility of operations, which Herring will continue to be involved with in his additional role in distribution and logistics. Dolly Jackson has been promoted to Customer Service Manager and Adam Ott to Assistant Supervisor. Combined they have 15 years of experience in the industry.

Page, who has over 27 years of rotational molding experience, joins Confluence from Norstar Aluminum Inc., a rotational mold manufacturer based in Cedarburg, WI, where he was plant manager. Page’s experience prior to Norstar included 10 years with Flexible Flyer as VP of Operations, and another 10 years with playground equipment manufacturer GameTime in the same capacity.

Butdorf was most recently the plant manager for SR Plastics, a custom injection-molding and assembly manufacturer based in Elberton, GA. Butdorf began his career with Owens-Corning where he spent 15 years in various plant and corporate positions. Prior to SR Plastics, Butdorf had been a plant manager at various molding operations including PreTech, a division of Precision-Valve Corp based in Travelers Rest, SC.

With Butdorf joining the company as plant manger, current Plant Manager Daniel Hughes transitions to Materials Manager.
