Columbia Sportswear has opened a flagship store in Harajuku, Tokyo, marking its largest retail location in Japan to date.
The store spans roughly 2900 square feet across two levels.
Columbia said in a LinkedIn post, “We’re thrilled to announce the grand opening of one of the largest Columbia stores in Japan — our brand-new flagship in the heart of Harajuku! A space that blends the warmth of natural materials like wood and stone into a sophisticated and urban setting, allowing you to experience the charm of the Columbia brand’s history and iconic products.
“Over the weekend, we kicked things off with a pre-opening celebration that brought the vibrant spirit of Harajuku right into the store — full of energy, excitement and community.
“The two-floor store features the largest product lineup in Japan to date and can outfit you for your next hike or your next day out in the city. In celebration of the opening, there are also limited-edition styles available only in store, in collaboration with artist north Nado.”
