The gain was offset by higher SG&A expenses, notably “higher legal and professional fees incurred in connection with potential acquisitions candidates.”

Order backlogs on 12/31 rose 100% over year ago comparisons and January saw higher sales. The company said it failed to process and ship the backlog increases during December, impacting operating results.
